It is very important to make sure the holes within the shelving unit match up, as we didn't the first time and had to take it all a part.This unit does a great job of cleaning up any cord clutter and freeing up floor space. We don't plan on putting in many movies or books on the sides.Finally, make sure you line it up ... It makes small areas look much larger!One thing to watch out for is the top and bottom piece are not finished on the bottom side. Also, it is not wood, and may not be the most sturdy item. Depending on how high you mount it, you may see these unfinished pieces. We use it to hold our receiver, cable box, modem, and sound bar, but it does seem like that's a big load for this stand. It makes small areas look much larger!One thing to watch out for is the top and bottom piece are not finished on the bottom side. We don't plan on putting in many movies or books on the sides.Finally, make sure you line it up with the center of your TV.
